The prayers in this book are written from within the experience of grief and bereavement, from the perspective of the one who has recently suffered loss. They represent the struggle to pray and to find God within, when we experience the death of someone we love.
Death is part of being human and is a very natural event, but is one of the most difficult things we have to face and grapple with in our lives. Examples of themes looked at are depression, shock, incredulity, letting go, love of God, guilt, anger, loneliness and becoming reconciled to death.
